Smooth test run on new light rail line

On Sunday, Metro Transit performed its first test of a light rail train car on the new Green Line, which will connect downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.

The test run for the car, which was towed down the Green Line at the pace of a brisk walk, went smoothly.

Laura Baenen, communications manager for the Central Corridor LRT project, will join The Daily Circuit to talk about the next steps for the line, which is expected to begin operations next year.
