House OKs minimum wage increase; Senate vote pending

The Minnesota House passed a minimum wage increase on Friday, and the Senate will vote on the proposal this week.

The House bill would increase the state minimum wage to $9.50 an hour by 2015, and after that, increases will be automatic and linked to inflation, according to an MPR report.

Two stakeholders in the debate, David Olson of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and Steve Hunter of the AFL-CIO, join The Daily Circuit to discuss the pros and cons of raising the minimum wage.
