Police say a man charged in the death of a St. Paul woman whose body was found in an impounded car this winter is suspected in a second, similar case.
A woman's body was discovered last week in the trunk of a car towed from Brooklyn Park to a wrecker lot near downtown Minneapolis. Brooklyn Park police said Wednesday that detectives have identified 24-year-old Alberto Palmer as the suspect in that case.
The Hennepin County medical examiner identifies the victim as 24-year-old Klaressa Lorayne Cook of Gainesville, Ga. The cause of her death is still being investigated.
Palmer is indicted in Anoka County on a first-degree murder charge in the death of 18-year-old Brittany Clardy. Clardy's body was found Feb. 19 in a car at a Columbia Heights impound lot.
