Stop and smell the flowers this weekend at the Kenyon Rose Fest. The boulevard of roses welcomes visitors into the town, about 50 miles south of St. Paul.
Event organizer Anne Gilster, talks to MPR News about Rose Fest, which runs Friday through Sunday and features hog roasts, parade, street dances and farmers markets.
• Spelmanstamma in Scandia on Saturday is a traditional Swedish gathering of fiddle players. Fiddle players and casual music lovers alike are welcome to this outdoor gathering of music.
• You Betcha! Minnesota Made festival in St. Louis Park features a loon calling contest, a Minnesotan accent contest and a host of Minnesota-made crafts, foods, and brews.
