With a management deadline for a deal set for Sunday, representatives of the warring sides in the Minnesota Orchestra dispute sat down to talk in the MPR studios today about finances, philosophy and trust.
However, early in a tense 45-minute Daily Circuit debate between Minnesota Orchestra President and CEO Michael Henson and musicians negotiating committee member Kevin Watkins it quickly became clear there is little common ground between the sides -- even in the face of a threatened departure by Music Director Osmo Vanska.
