This week, a trilogy of plays casting Hindu gods into western culture, a group of emerging artists enraptured by human subjects, and a virtuoso klezmer clarinetist goes classical.

Mordecai Specktor, editor and publisher of the St. Louis Park-based American Jewish World newspaper, says the world's premier klezmer clarinetist is coming to Minneapolis. Mordecai knows this not only because he's a fan of 

, he also interviewed him. Krakauer's made waves with his famed klezmer group Ancestral Groove, and through his hip hop collaboration with the emcee Socalled. He'll be playing with the Minneapolis classical ensemble 

, at the MacPhail Center, Sunday, Oct. 13, at 4 p.m.

Ask Twin Cities freelance curator Molly Huber what she liked about the 2013 

 exhibition and she'll say their enthusiasm, craft and sense of experimentation. Molly says the work of the five Jerome Fellows for 2012/13 encompasses photographs, paintings, drawings and video and tends to depict human subjects in new and interesting ways. At the Minneapolis College of Art & Design through Nov. 10.

Minneapolis actor and director Josh Campbell looks for plays that open doors of communication and he says he found it in 

 at Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis. It's a trilogy of plays by Art Hound Aditi Kapil which transpose Hindu gods into western society. Through Oct. 27.
