This week, a photographer trains his eye on Minneapolis Latinos, a troubadour takes his river songs to New York Mills, and the 'Harty' Boys go to the MOA, but not to shop.

Improviser, actor and musician Anna Weggel can't get enough of 

, the Minneapolis troupe that crafts clever, funny productions for people of all ages. Just in time for Halloween, Comedy Suitcase is bringing "The Harty Boys" back to the stage to solve "The Mystery of the Mall of America of Death" at the Bryant Lake Bowl through Oct. 27.

Veronica Ochoa has a deep appreciation for Minneapolis photographer 

 portraits of Latinos in Minneapolis, which seek, among other things, to dismantle stereotypes. Veronica, a documentary filmmaker in her own right, is especially excited about Tavera's new show at the 

, which reflects a new, more conceptual phase in Tavera's career. The exhibition runs through Nov. 13. A reception will held on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 5-7 p.m.

Visual artist Pam Robinson is delighted The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center will be playing host to Minnesota folk troubadour 

 on Friday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. Pam, who calls Maguire a Minnesota gem, says the concert is free and will feature some songs about the Mississippi River Maguire co-wrote with some local sixth-graders.
