MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A radio news anchor is back on the job in Minneapolis after a robbery assault that sent him to the hospital.
WCCO's Steve Murphy is a familiar voice in the Twin Cities. Murphy was jogging from his south Minneapolis home to the bus stop last week when he spotted a suspicious SUV slowing down near him. Murphy says the men inside the SUV threw him face down on the sidewalk, choked him and grabbed his wallet.
Murphy stumbled to a bus and the driver took him to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was treated. He says one of three men arrested in Anoka County last Thursday for a similar aggravated robbery could be involved in the attack on him.
