Minnesota Orchestra musicians announce spring concert details

The locked out Musicians of the Minnesota Orchestra today announced details of a 10-concert spring season, featuring violinists Joshua Bell and Itzhak Perlman, among others.  The musicians hinted at some of the upcoming concerts at their community meeting Monday, but now have announced dates, programs, and ticket details.

"Our goal is to maintain a world-class concert schedule for the community, and we are grateful for the community’s continued support," cellist Tony Ross said in a press release. "We are grateful to these renowned musicians and conductors for their commitment to keep the music alive in Minnesota."

The musicians said repeatedly on Monday that their top priority is to reach a deal with management so they can return to work. They said that, in the interim, they will work with management to fold these concerts into whatever season develops.
