Lakeville police investigate whether woman froze to death
Lakeville police are investigating whether a woman in her 30s found outside her home late Tuesday afternoon froze to death.
Police say they are treating the case as a suspicious death until a cause is found. In a statement, police say there is evidence that the woman suffered hypothermia before she died.
The woman, whose name is being withheld until family is notified, was found by family at the 17500 block of Illinois Court in Lakeville. Police arrived shortly before 4 p.m.
An autopsy is set to start today at the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
