Chants and cheers reverberated through the halls of the Roy Wilkins Auditorium on Saturday, where cheerleaders of all grades gathered to participate in the annual state cheerleading competition. Here's what some of the competition looked like.
Teams performed according to category -- school size, and tumbling and non-tumbling divisions -- before a panel of judges, many of who have judged at a national level.
The day was broken down into three sessions, the first for elementary, middle school and junior varsity cheerleaders, and the other two devoted to varsity high school teams.
