Photos: At the Metrodome, wrecking ball continues its work

The Metrodome is demolished as construction of the new Vikings stadium begins on the east side of downtown Minneapolis, Minn. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014.

It took more than two years to build the Metrodome; it will take considerably less time to tear it down. MPR News photographer Jeffrey Thompson visited the 32-year-old 'dome yesterday to check in on the demolition.
