The public will get a chance to weigh in on the Nicollet Mall redesign Wednesday afternoon at a presentation at the Minneapolis Central Library.

The founder and director of the architecture firm chosen for the project, James Corner, joins the dean of the College of Design at the University of Minnesota on The Daily Circuit Wednesday to preview the meeting. His firm designed several projects including the High Line, a park that was created on an abandoned strip of elevated train track in New York City.

The project will be Nicollet Mall's first major update since the 80s and city leaders hope it will be complete by 2016.

For more information on the meeting and the firm's plan, visit the Nicollet Mall Project site.
