Police: Man jumped from Minn. bridge as a stunt

Hennepin County officials say a man who jumped from a Brooklyn Park bridge into the Mississippi River Wednesday night was performing a stunt.

The Hennepin sheriff's office says the man was wearing a life jacket and swam to shore. After the jump off the Highway 610 bridge, a video of the incident was posted online. Emergency officials took several calls around 8:30 p.m. about a man jumping off the bridge. Seven departments responded with boats and a helicopter.

Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek says the county attorney could seek charges against the man who jumped and the person videotaping him, once they're found.
