What is the source of our fascination with Godzilla? Depending on which cultural analyst you listen to, it may have roots in the Bible, or in our dread of nuclear destruction, or in some other, more primal fear. Now, with the release of a new movie, the monster has become a pop icon once again. The film is a spectacle, from the opening credits forward.
