A woman is injured after a lightning strike in Anoka County, as heavy storms rumbled across Minnesota.
The woman was at a baseball tournament at Ham Lake Lion's Park when she was hit by lightning in the midafternoon Saturday and taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
Kyle Blum, lead dispatcher for Anoka County communications center, tells the Pioneer Press that first responders performed CPR on her and she was taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
The extent of her injuries and condition was not immediately known.
Waves of heavy storms rumbled across the state Saturday afternoon, especially in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities.
