A 27-year-old man has been sentenced for his role in the fatal shooting of a St. Paul bar owner over a $20 pool table fee.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports Yia Her, of Oakdale, was sentenced Friday to 30.5 years in prison.
Her was angry that Malina's Sports Bar owner Vone Moua would not return the $20 he had paid to rent a pool table June 9, 2013. He allegedly called his 23-year-old brother-in-law, Cheng Vang, to bring a gun.
Vang later pleaded guilty in the killing of 45-year-old Moua. Vang also shot and wounded two other men at the bar.
In March, a jury convicted Her of aiding and abetting second-degree murder and two counts of aiding and abetting second-degree attempted murder.
