An Otsego kindergartner was hit and injured by a school bus in Wright County on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency responders were called to the accident near the intersection of Padgett Avenue Northeast and 82nd Circle Northeast in Otsego at about 3:15 p.m., Wright County Sheriff's Office Capt. Todd Hoffman said.
Authorities are not releasing information about the girl's medical condition at the family's request. Hoffman said she was conscious while being evacuated by medical helicopter to a Twin Cities hospital.
The Elk River School District confirmed that the child was a student at Otsego Elementary. The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting the Wright County Sheriff's Office in the investigation.
