Minnesota-based American Refugee Committee announced a project Wednesday to combat unemployment in Somalia where more than 6 in 10 citizens are out of work.
The non-profit is partnering with two other organizations -- Qatar-based Silatech and the Somali money transfer business Kaah Express -- to open the first commercial micro-enterprise institution in Somalia. It will target youth and women around the country.
ARC CEO Daniel Wordsworth joins The Daily Circuit from Somalia to talk about the project.
