Police searching for armed, dangerous man traveling toward BWCA

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is searching for Todd Neil Triebold, a man who they say is likely armed, dangerous and headed toward the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

Police are searching for a man who they say may be armed, dangerous and traveling to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says 51-year old Todd Neil Triebold is a "predatory offender" who may be suicidal.

Triebold is white, and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen in Shell Lake, Wis. He was known to drive a blue 1996 Ford Explorer with Minnesota plates 212-DZK.

The BCA is asking anyone who spots either the man or the SUV to call 9-1-1.
