Willmar drug bust arrests dozens

Officers have arrested 27 people in Willmar this week for allegedly selling drugs.

Sgt. Ross Ardoff commands the drug task force for the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.

"The reason the number of defendants is so high is because there are a lot of individuals selling drugs in the city of Wilmar," Ardoff said. "That was our focus, to curtail some of that activity, send a message to the dealers that it won't be tolerated."

Ardoff said suspects sold drugs such as marijuana, synthetic marijuana, prescription drugs, cocaine and meth to informants during the investigation.

Authorities are still searching for 11 more suspects.
