Juvenile arrested as suspect in shooting death

Minneapolis police arrested a juvenile male Friday in connection to the north Minneapolis homicide Thursday night that began as a verbal confrontation on a Metro Transit bus.

The shooting took place at the intersection of North 26th Avenue and Penn Avenue North, and was not a random incident, according to Minneapolis Police Department spokesman Scott Seroka. Police responded to the shooting call at 6:59 p.m. Thursday.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has not released the identity of the victim or details on cause of death.
