A 23-year-old Duluth, Minn., man has been arrested in the stabbing of a University of Minnesota Duluth running back.
WDIO-TV reports the suspect is being held in the St. Louis County Jail on a second-degree assault charge in last month's stabbing of Austin Sikorski. The suspect was arrested Friday.
Duluth police say witnesses saw the suspect near Sikorski when he was stabbed in his lower right abdomen during a street fight around 2 a.m. on Aug. 2.
Sikorski was back on the field during practice last week. He led his team in rushing last season with 1,290 yards and 16 touchdowns in 13 games.
