A Hungarian hunting dog and a cheerful breed known as the "royal dog of Madagascar" will join the pack at the Westminster Kennel Club show next year.

A wirehaired vizsla (VEEZ'-shlah) and a coton de tulear (koh-TOHN' du TOO'-lay-ahr) were on hand Tuesday at Madison Square Garden as kennel club leaders looked ahead to next February's show.

Luna the coton de tulear stood politely as organizers discussed plans for the prestigious show. Her breed is a small, upbeat companion dog with a long, white coat.

Falko the wirehaired vizsla relaxed on the floor before taking his spot at the news conference. His medium-size breed was developed to hunt in northern Hungary's cold winters and rough terrain.

Breeds are added to the show after being recognized by the American Kennel Club.
