A woman was hospitalized with serious injuries Friday morning after a man she had an argument with ran her over in downtown Minneapolis, police said.
The man and the woman were both in a car around 3 a.m. at the corner of Eighth Street and LaSalle Avenue, said Minneapolis police department spokesman John Elder.
After a disagreement, the woman got out of the car and onto the hood, Elder said. The man started driving and the woman fell off.
Elder said the man then circled around and ran the woman over. She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries, Elder said.
Police have the man in custody, according to Elder. They're pulling surveillance tape, interviewing witnesses and investigating whether alcohol or drugs factored into the episode.
