Oct. 15 update: Authorities identified the man shot by police as 51-year-old William Holt of Ellaville, Georgia.
A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting at a trailer park in St. Anthony Village.
Lt. Jeff Scholl says authorities received a report of shots being fired just before 10 p.m. Thursday at a trailer in Lowry Grove Trailer Park.
A news release say that as police approached, a man inside a trailer told them there were two other armed people inside and he had exchanged gunfire with them. Officers took cover and called in the East Metro SWAT Team.
As SWAT officers approached, a man came outside. Scholl says the man had a rifle, and was shot and killed by police.
SWAT officers entered the trailer and found no one. Police believe there were never any other people involved.
No officers were injured. The incident lasted several hours.
