What will the politics of 2050 look like?

Sometime around 2050 America's demographics will shift so that those people currently in the minority will become the majority, and the majority will be a minority.

Some analysts think that this will be a boon to Democrats and the issues they champion: healthcare, safety net programs, climate change. Others think these current non-voters will remain non-voters in the future and their influence on issue politics will be minimal.

Either way, what will the issues be? On The Daily Circuit, we examine how demographics, a changing climate and increasing social and economic polarization could filter down to the politics of 2050.
