Non-profit organizations and schools across Minnesota are gearing up for Thursday's Give to the Max Day, a yearly fundraising event that has become a staple in many organizations' development strategies.
The day is organized by GiveMN, an organization that runs a website that facilities giving to nonprofits and schools.
Last month, GiveMN announced it had facilitated more than $100 million in giving since its launch in 2009.
While the $17.1 million raised last year was a record, the website was plagued during the entire Give to the Max Day and slowed and even stymied donors' ability to give.
The executive director of GiveMN joins The Daily Circuit to talk about how they've addressed those issues and what to look forward to during this year's big day.
