A lot of people start with a long weekend when they head for the Boundary Waters. More experienced trekkers will shoot for a week or 10 days. And then there's Gary Fiedler.

Fiedler is a Duluth photographer who recently returned from a seven-month canoe trip that he started when the lakes were still frozen. He took 40,000 photographs during his trip and joins The Daily Circuit to talk about the experience.
