1 killed, 6 hurt in Meeker County crash
Six people were injured and one man was killed when a truck crossed over the center line on an icy Meeker County highway on Sunday night.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that the truck driven by Fidencio Ramirez Rojas, 37, lost control and hit a Chevrolet Malibu headed in the opposite direction on Highway 12 shortly after 6 p.m.
Rojas, of Litchfield, was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
Both vehicles came to rest in a ditch on the western side of highway. Three men riding with Rojas had non life-threatening injuries, as did the driver of the Malibu and two passengers.
