Police: Man dies after Minneapolis shooting

Minneapolis police say a man found shot and critically hurt in north Minneapolis last week has died from his injuries.

Police said early Thursday the man died Tuesday at an area hospital. Police spokesman John Elder has said police found him with a life-threatening injury Friday night.

Officers were responding to a report from their electronic gunshot monitoring system. Callers reported a shooting to 911 as police went to the scene.

Police say no one is in custody. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will release the victim's identity and cause of death.
