MNsure preps for final hours of open enrollment for Jan. 1 coverage

Midnight Monday is the deadline to sign up for private health insurance through MNsure if you're looking to get a plan that starts in January.

The state's online health insurance marketplace expects the number of people enrolled in a health plan through the site to reach about 67,000 by the end of next year.

A marketing campaign has encouraged Minnesotans to sign up and the MNsure call center was open extended hours over the weekend for last-minute shoppers.

It's been a busy time for "navigators" -- people who help consumers with the application process. John Freeman, lead navigator with Health Access MN, joins The Daily Circuit to update on us enrollment.
