Earlier this month, we put up a few sprigs of holly and embraced the spirit and sounds of Christmas.

We asked three different groups to preview their holiday shows in the MPR studios: Sounds of Blackness, VocalEssence and The New Standards.

We'll hear from all three groups again in this two-hour special. The groups discussed the nature of tradition, what it takes to make a classic song sound fresh and how interpreting the Christmas story can occasionally lead to somewhat questionable carols.
