Dylan says Sinatra had a special talent

Today's Morning Edition music is from "Why Try to Change Me Now" by Bob Dylan. It's from his new album "Shadows in the Night," which comes out Tuesday.

The record contains no original compositions. The songs are drawn from the classic American songbook and were all previously recorded by Frank Sinatra.

Dylan talked about Sinatra in a recent interview with AARP magazine.

"When you start doing these songs, Frank is the mountain you have to climb, even if you only get part of the way there," he said. "He had this ability to get inside of the song in a sort of conversational way. Frank sang to you ā€” not at you. I never wanted to be a singer that sings at somebody. I've always wanted to sing to somebody."
