Have you ever heard of Josephine Taylor? Probably not, but thanks to a new compilation from Minneapolis-based Secret Stash Records, her music and others is being introduced to a new generation of listeners.

Taylor's previously unreleased recording of "Your Love Picks Me Up" is today's Morning Edition music.

Secret Stash is putting out a series of CDs drawn from the archives of Chicago-based One-Derful Records.

This disc contains music recorded in the 1960s for the label's soul subsidiary known as Mar-V-lus. Taylor was one of Mar-V-Lus' artists. She was discovered during a talent show at Pepper's Lounge on Chicago's South Side.
