Thieves nab $15K in science texts during 9 trips to St. Cloud State store

Police say three thieves took more than $15,000 worth of textbooks during as many as nine visits to a bookstore at St. Cloud State University.

Authorities say surveillance video shows three men concealed textbooks in book bags and walked out of the Husky Bookstore inside Centennial Hall without paying.

The first theft was reported on Feb. 14. Police say store employees checked inventory logs and the surveillance video to find the suspects committed similar thefts at least eight other times.

The books include chemistry and other science texts. The suspects remain at large.
