Minneapolis fire crews evacuated a building Friday morning as they responded to a possible hazardous materials incident in the 500 block of 6th Street SE.

By late Friday night, though, officials said the chemicals found were determined to be safe and residents were allowed to return to the building, except for the original apartment where the chemicals were found.

Authorities did not detail what they found, other to say the chemicals were not hazardous.
