Monica Drake, the travel editor for The New York Times, joined MPR News' Kerri Miller to talk about the paper's recent feature, "Favorite Streets in 12 European Cities."

Twelve writers explored the byways they love in Paris, Berlin, Milan, Istanbul, London and more.

Drake described the Rua Nova do Carvalho in Lisbon: "It's really a sort of roaming party, there is an opportunity to sample a lot of local snacks ... You'll get a lot of tapas, it's a very convivial street."
