This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Older Americans Act.

Enacted in 1965, the law provides services—like home-delivered meals, transportation, and caregiver support—to help about 11 million seniors nationwide stay as independent as possible.

Two guests joined MPR News' Tom Weber to talk about how far we've come since then and what remains to be done.
