An article in "The Atlantic" has Dr. Jon Hallberg thinking about the meaning of patient satisfaction.

More and more, the health care industry equates patients with customers, and making sure they're 'happy' is a high priority.

For example, Medicare financially rewards hospitals that do well on patient surveys.

But Dr. Hallberg says unlike the customer, the patient is not always right.
