The Minnesota Vikings drafted Michigan State cornerback Trae Waynes in the 11th overall pick of the NFL draft Thursday night.

Waynes told reporters that he believes he'll be a good fit with the Vikings team. He said he's ready to get to work.

"Oh man. I am so excited," he said. "It was a great feeling. I can't wait to get to Minnesota."

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers used the first overall draft pick Thursday night on Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston. The draft continues in Chicago through Saturday.
