More traffic headaches on I-35E as lane closes to fix shoulder

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has reduced Interstate Highway 35E southbound in Maplewood to one lane as crews try to restore a temporary shoulder that had sunk.
The far right lane of the heavily traveled interstate is closed between Highway 36 and Larpenteur Avenue until around 6 p.m.
Crews are attempting to "correct an issue with the soil" on the shoulder near the Roselawn Avenue.
That part of I-35E has been under major construction for more than a year as MnDOT puts in MnPASS lanes in both directions, resurfaces roadways and replaces bridges.
