Prosthetic knee, vehicle of missing ND woman found in Idaho

Authorities say the vehicle and a prosthetic knee of a North Dakota woman who went missing almost four years ago have been found in Idaho.

The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Office says the prosthetic knee belonging to Florence Dumontet was found Wednesday by hikers in Idaho. Authorities in Idaho's Shoshone County then launched a helicopter crew which spotted Dumontet's vehicle about 500 yards off Interstate 90.

The 82-year-old woman from Ardoch — a small town located 25 miles northwest of Grand Forks — vanished while driving to Washington state in October 2011. She was last seen on a security camera at a gas station in Missoula, Mont.

Authorities in Grand Forks have slated a news conference on Monday afternoon to provide an update on the investigation.
