July cooler than average so far

University of Minnesota Climatologist Mark Seeley told MPR News host Phil Picardi that July, so far, has been cooler than normal.

The weather, Seeley said, has been mostly kind for farmers across the state, and most crops are in very good shape.

And: It's official. Last year was the hottest ever recorded across the globe.
