University of Minnesota Climatologist Mark Seeley told MPR News host Phil Picardi that July, so far, has been cooler than normal.  


The weather, Seeley said, has been mostly kind for farmers across the state, and most crops are in very good shape.

And: It's official. Last year was the hottest ever recorded across the globe.

MPR's Phil Picardi spoke with University of Minnesota Climatologist Mark Seeley about the month of July so far, which has been cooler than normal.  He says the weather has been kind for the most part for farmers across the state with most crops in very good shape.  And he talks about 2014 being the hottest year across the globe ever recorded.
