Two women have sued the Catholic Diocese of St. Cloud and two parishes, saying they were sexually abused by a priest in the 1960s.
Rieder pleaded guilty in 2003 to second-degree criminal sexual conduct and admitted to abusing a young girl in the early 1990s. He died in 2013.
The diocese said in a statement that it hadn't reviewed the lawsuit and couldn't comment on specifics. According to the diocese, Rieder was removed from public ministry after an allegation against him in 2002.
