In some states, discussing the weather is just small-talk. In Minnesota, talking about the weather is almost a sport.
Case in point: A full crowd packed Carousel Park at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds today to hear University of Minnesota climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley discuss this year's weather with MPR News' Tom Weber.
While it's a sunny day with highs in the 80s, the State Fair hasn't always had such weather luck. Some years have cracked 100 degrees, while in 1885, temperatures dropped to 33 degrees during fair week.
