The Minnesotans' Military Appreciation Fund is hosting "The Wall that Heals" — a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial — at the Boy Scout Base Camp at Fort Snelling from Wednesday through Sunday.
Riders from the Minnesota Patriot Guard will escort the replica memorial to Fort Snelling as it crosses the Minnesota-Wisconsin border on Wednesday.
The memorial honors the 58,000 service members who died in the Vietnam war, while also recognizing veterans of all wars.
Names of the 1,073 Minnesota names on the wall will be read by veterans Friday.
The wall is coming as part of the fund's 11th annual Say Thanks Day on Saturday. The fund provides cash grants to Minnesotans who have served in combat zones since 9/11 and their families.
