Minnesota pheasant numbers jump; long-term worries remain

An August roadside survey calculated 40.7 pheasants per 100 miles of roadside driven. That's one-third greater than 2014. However, the 2015 pheasant index is 39 percent below the 10-year average. That's a concern, officials said.
