Some pork sausage links produced by a Fergus Falls, Minn., company did not receive a state inspection before being sold. State agriculture officials say no illnesses were reported but consumers should return the products where they bought them.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture and Fergus Locker Plant LLC have issued a consumer advisory for the breakfast sausage. Besides the lack of inspection, the products do not have the documentation to show they were made according to state and federal regulations, the agriculture department said Thursday, adding the violation was discovered during a routine daily inspection.

The pork links were produced on July 31 and were sold during August at Fergus Locker Plant and Lakeway Market. Both are in Fergus Falls.

"The product label includes Lot #731 and establishment #843 located inside the State of Minnesota mark of inspection," the department said in a statement.

Consumers with questions about this advisory should call Brent Schmitz at the Fergus Locker Plant at (218) 736-4285.
