Police were investigating a suspicious death near Hazel Park Recreation Center in St. Paul early Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the park at about 3 a.m. said Sgt. Mike Ernster. Officers found a man dead in the park.

Investigators had taped off much of the park and some surrounding blocks by 7 a.m. Officers were clustered on a baseball field.

Ernster said no more information about the incident was immediately available. Police say they do not believe there's a threat to the public.
